Karabo
Meso.

Date Of Birth: 18.09.2007

A resident of Soweto Rockville, Karabo Meso got hooked on cricket through the Mini Cricket program at age 7. It wasn’t long before she got a call from the Highveld Lions Senior team to play for them, aged just 11.

She put on her wicketkeeping gloves for the SA U19 Women’s side in ICC U19 women’s T20 World Cup and was the youngest in the outfit that played on home turf. Showing tenacity and a livewire attitude, she also got the nod for the ‘Team of the Tournament’ for her incredible glovework up to the stumps and knack for scoring important runs.

In 2024, Karabo got her first call-up to the senior Protea Women’s outfit in the T20i version of the game against Sri Lanka.

Still in school at Steyn City College and with her whole career ahead of her, Karabo is firmly tipped to be the next big thing behind the wickets for the South African Cricket team in years to come.
